TREES

cloning In our own approach, neuronal trees are built up using optimized graphs. This allows to attribute a function to the resulting morphology (such as a specific electrotonic compartmentalization). It also allows the resulting neurons to form anatomical contacts to their presynaptic partners by forcing the tree to grow towards the input axons. Here, the same modular extendable function can be used for automated reconstruction as well as for cloning pyramidal dendrites and many other complex geometries.
